They're mentioned in an off-hand paragraph towards the beginning of the book, but the abundance in the text makes them hard to catch if you don't know what you're doing. What I think? Well, it is not bad as a first read for a beginner, but there are some better books. What I don't like about it is that it doesn't put a good programming style, which may confuse and build bad programming practices on the readers.
